I have LONG been a fan of the glorious benefits of nature, and sunshine…of just being outside. Just ask our children about that! Whether it means digging in the garden, just sitting “idle” watching clouds, or laying in the grass, watching the tiny inhabitants do their thing, I love it!
Being outside cures a multitude of our ailments. Are you grouchy? Go outside! Stressed? Go take a walk! Grab a rest under the big wide sky and watch the clouds! Bored? That’s a personal problem, but the cure? That’s right, go outside!
Nature cures. Nature makes us feel good. Being out in nature takes away our anxiety, and while it may not be “good” enough to take away our PROBLEMS, it can relax our minds and bodies, and help us cope with them and in about 2 minutes or less, we feel BETTER!

Sitting, laying, walking, hiking, running, swimming, floating…. you get the picture! Any way we want to enjoy nature, being outside is a GOOD thing! It just resets us! It takes being happy in the here and now to a whole new level!

And if we NOTICE what is going on around us it gets even better! Take it in–the details of a leaf, the sky, the insects, they are all fascinating, and can elevate the experience even more!

Nature, the Robber of Boredom
Being a mother, and childcare giver, I sometimes “inflicted” going outside on my charges. Maybe there was too much energy being flung around the house, or maybe there had been too much “togetherness”, or it could be, that Mama just needed some quiet……but whatever the reason, outside was and is the cure!

As children, being banished to the outdoors sometimes isn’t a pleasant thing…at first. But soon, the sad, mournful faces peering in the window disappear, and a pine needle pie and mud birthday cake bakery appear on the sidewalk, under the tree. Or, the fort in the wind break gets an overhaul, and it’s painful to have to stop and come in when it’s time! Maybe they don’t have the words to say it, but nature makes even the littles feel good!

Are you a fan of basking in nature? Tell us in the comments how you do it. Are you going to try it? It’s a lovely thing!
Thanks for being here! I’m so glad you came!
